lyrics
I want you to know
That all you'll ever be to me now
Is the sweetest song I wrote
But I want you to know
That when I think if you I see
Your favorite shade of blue
I want you to know, now, I want you
I want you know, now, I want you, baby
So, stop your crying
And imagine a world where we work out
It'd be magic, it could happen
But it'd need more than we give now
Stop your crying
And imagine a world where we work out
It'd be magic, it could happen
But it'd need more than we give now
I want you to know
I still see you, in the places we used to go, baby
I want you to know
That I still got those photos of you in the far side of my room
I want you to know, now, I want you
I want you know, now, I want you
So, stop your crying
And imagine a world where we work out
It could happen and it'd be magic
But it'd need more than we give now
So, stop your crying
And imagine a world where we work out
It could happen and it'd be magic
But it'd need more than we give now
Stop your crying
Stop your crying, stop your crying
I'll give you what you need if you just get up off your knees
Stop your crying
Stop your crying
I'll give you what you need if you could wipe away those tears
Stop it, stop it, stop that crying
Stop it stop it, stop that crying
I don't need it, I don't need
I've got enough of tears on my own
Stop that crying now
Stop that crying now
Do something if you want to
Stop
Won't you stop now
Stop that crying
We don't need it
We need something more
Won't you stop that
Stop your crying
We don't need it we need more

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
